“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

There is good news for you today. God loves you and created you to know Him personally. God satisfies our hunger for purpose and meaning in life, satisfies our need for forgiveness and secures our eternal destiny.

Who is Jesus?

Jesus is the most amazing person of all time, perfect in every way, totally loving, and completely truthful. Jesus was and is both fully man and fully God. He never did anything wrong.  This means He is qualified to carry the sins of mankind and able to give us eternal life. He died on the cross, rose again and ascended to heaven.

Jesus loves, heals, forgives, restores and transforms lives.

Why did He come?

“God demonstrates His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

No one has lived a perfect life. Our short-comings separate us from God who is perfect. Jesus is perfect and came “to give His life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45) Jesus died instead of us and paid the penalty for all the things we’ve done wrong. Jesus bridges the gap between man and God

It’s not about us trying to earn our forgiveness or trying to become good enough for God.  We cannot do it on our own or through our own efforts. But as with all gifts we do need to respond and receive it.

God’s gift of abundant life now and eternal life forever is open to anyone who is willing to respond. By receiving Jesus as Lord and Saviour you can be free from guilt, death, fear and meaninglessness. Today you can enter into a new relationship with the one who loves you, created you, cares for you and seeks to lead you into a fulfilled life and life for eternity.

This is good news for us all. Why not respond today?

Prayer of Response

“Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for dying on the cross for me so that I could be set free from guilt, sin and death. I ask for forgiveness for the things I’ve done wrong in my life. I receive you, Lord Jesus, as my Lord and Saviour. Thank you for filling me with the Holy Spirit and your love. Thank you for the eternal life you now give me. In Jesus’ name I pray.”

If you have prayed that prayer for the first time, please let us know at the Church Office so that we can help you.
