In 2005, the leadership of Derby City Church took the decision to identify a new building to base our activities in.  After an extensive search of the city and an investigation of many different buildings, this site was identified in Kingsway Park Close.  We are now in the process of securing the purchase of this building.

The photo above shows what will become the main entrance to the building.  The red door will be replaced with glass.  This will bring you into a foyer / café area which will be open to the full height of the building.  This entrance area will have the same approximate floor space as our current main hall in Curzon Street and will have café tables and sofas scattered throughout.  Wall mounted flat screen televisions will provide information about the church and music videos.  Running around the side of the building will be a small office, toilets, 4 classrooms and storage rooms as shown on the plan on the opposite page.

At the back of the foyer will be a small hall capable of holding around 100 people comfortably.  There will also be a large kitchen with serveries into the foyer and also into the main auditorium.

The main auditorium will be accessed from double doors in the centre of foyer and will be capable of seating 700 people.  On either side of the stage will be rooms that can be used as storage or off-stage rooms.  The auditorium will reach to the full height of the building but with a false ceiling.  The walls will be plastered and painted, with good quality lighting and it will be fully carpeted.
