We love Derby! In fact, we think it's a great city to live in and be a part of. Over the coming weeks, this page will be filled with information about how we are trying to show the love of God to the city of Derby through our community outreaches and our brand new Hope Centre. This includes our new Food Bank which will seek to provide 3 days of emergency food to those in need in our city. In addition to the Food Bank, we hope to run a clothes bank and baby bank alongside.
We are also working with several other church in Derby to establish a Pregnancy Advice and Support Centre. During 2010, we also hope to set up a refugee and asylum seeker drop in cafe and support centre.
We will also be running various courses for people in our community including:
- English as a second language.
- Confidence and life skills.
- Basic cookery.
- Computer Skills including using the internet and word processing.
- Budgeting and handling finance.
- Parenting.
- Marriage.
